Unless Isayama has truly lost his touch as a writer, this panel should be crucial to how the ending plays out in regards to foreshadowing. At least I’d like to think so. The Rumbling was a mean to an end which needed to be activated in order to reach the “eldian paradise” that Eren and Ymir strive for. Grisha couldn’t accept the Rumbling but followed Eren’s will because he knew the Eldians left alive could prosper after the Rumbling stopped but that the Eldian race would be wiped out if Eren didn’t activate it. Thoughts? Do you think that Eren showed Grisha what would come after the Rumbling and that’s the reason he agreed to help Eren by eating the founder? At first I thought he showed his dad fake future memories to influence his will by using the founding powers and that in reality Eren would wipe out the world, but the Alliance was put in the forefront so much after chapters 120-123 that I cannot see a bleak ending happening anymore. Edit: Panels which I believe are leading us to this ending.
