A former Weslaco city commissioner and Hidalgo County Commissioner pct. 1 have been arrested. Weslaco City Commissioner John Cuellar, 56, of Weslaco Arturo Cuellar, Jr. , 65, of Hidalgo County, and Daniel Garcia, 40, an attorney based in Rio Grande City have been arrested by agents with the FBI and IRS Criminal Investigation. The men have been tied to an investigation involving the $38 million Weslaco water treatment project.
