The X-Hunters, known as Counter Hunters (カウンターハンター, Kauntā Hantā) in Japan, is a group of three Mavericks who serve as the main antagonists of Mega Man X2. Led by Serges, this unit was formed in retaliation to counter X and the Maverick Hunters. After Sigma's defeat, the X-Hunters took control of his rebellion's remnants and began working to resurrect him.
