Wallace Huo is a Taiwanese actor born in Taipei, Taiwan. His family is originally from the Shandong province in Mainland China. Since childhood he loved singing and was eager to become a singer. At the age of 17, he joined the entertainment business. In 2000, Wallace became known for his cellphone commercial with Angelica Lee. After completing his military service in 2002, Wallace joined etKING and became one of the two leading actors in the drama "Star". Along with performing in the drama, he sang the eponymous theme song. After rising to popularity thanks to the idol drama "At Dolphin Bay" in 2003, for which he received a Golden Bell nomination, he released a solo album with Sony Music Entertainment (Taiwan) in 2004 but abandoned his career as a recording artist deciding to focus on acting instead. That year, he decided to relocate to Mainland China to develop as an actor and leave behind his idol persona. His first break was the movie "Hands in the Hair" in collaboration with actress Rosamund Kwan, closely followed by the wuxia drama "World's Finest" in 2005, which introduced him to Mainland Chinese audiences and was a landmark moment in his career. However, it wasn't until 2009, when he rose to mainstream popularity with the hit drama "Chinese Paladin 3" due to his role as Taoist priest Xu Chang Qing, a fan favorite. He acted in the critically acclaimed wartime drama "Battle of Changsha". Dramas such as "The Journey of Flower" and "Love Me if You Dare" catapulted him into peak stardom in 2015. Shortly after, in 2016, he married actress Ruby Lin, also from Taiwan, and had a daughter in January 2017. In 2018, he played his biggest role to date, Emperor Qianlong, in the harem drama "Ruyi's Royal Love in the Palace" along reknowned actress, Zhou Xun. He's been semi-retired since the release of the drama "The Great Craftsman" and the movie "Somewhere Winter" both which aired in 2019. He now lives in Taiwan. (Source: Wikipedia)
