Unown is a Psychic-type Pokemon. Unown are not encountered in wild, only in special encounters when the player interacting with a pre-existing TIPS: sign, instead of normal English texts, now shows unown texts. Unown will then present itself in the next encounter in any grass. Such event can happen multiple times, and do not occur with player-created signs, only those generated by the game.
