The Vanishing is a free crossover mission for the first-person shooter game Far Cry 6. It is a crossover that incorporates elements of the Netflix series Stranger Things, but is not canon to either franchise. "The Lock Project" is a secretive Russian research program established during the Cold War. They have had many encounters with the "Shadow Place" (the Upside Down), and use experimental technology to access the other world. The Lock Project was supposedly discontinued following the collapse
