The Backrooms is an endless set of replicates of reality. Most commonly this place would take the form of empty hallways, but it can appear in all sorts of ways, depending on the viewers reality. Strangely, some victims have got stuck here due to errors in their reality. It is unknown how this can happen, but it is a very very rare occurrence. If this happens to a victim, their reality breaks and can no longer load newer pieces of information. Because of this, if they try to leave their surround
