Classic Sonic is also a character and in turn a recurring term in the series of Sonic the Hedgehog, this term began to be used from Sonic Generations to refer to the classic version of Sonic the Hedgehog, especially the one of his games seen in the first appearances seen in Sega consoles with side-scroll 2D gameplay. From Sonic Generations onwards Classic Sonic has made multiple appearances and is increasingly seen as a character different from its modern version. Spin jumps onto the stage in hi
