The music of Starborn was originally composed to accompany a series of Star Wars-themed miniature-painting tutorials for the Sorastro's Painting channel, and due to popular demand is now enjoying a new lease of life as a stand-alone album! The musical is stylistically somewhat eclectic, and when writing it my only desire was to enhance the thematic enjoyment of the videos. There are obvious nods to the music of Grand Master John Williams, but also more wide-ranging influences from the genres of world, rock and minimalism.
