Today I’d like to share with you one of the most beautiful chess games ever played with some of the most spectacular and unusual sacrifices. The game is played between two ordinary chess players, Otis Field and Oscar Tenner, and the game is popularly known as “Field of Nightmares”. What is remarkable about this game is that every move played is confirmed by the top line of the Stockfish 14.1 chess engine. Funnily enough, even the Stockfish got was confused between two lines at some point and found it very difficult to choose between them. Eventually, Oscar Tenner won the game in just 18 moves with a spectacular sequence of sacrifices and a beautiful checkmating combination. You can find the PGN of this game below:
