Onix (イワーク, Iwaaku) is a Rock/Ground-type Pokémon introduced in Generation I. Onix is a Rock Snake Pokémon. Its serpentine body is made up of large gray boulders and little pebbles. It has a long horn atop its head and small eyes. Onix spend most of their time burrowing through the earth, twisting and turning their massive bodies as they dig.
