Nintendo Co., Ltd entrusted Turner with the renovation of its flagship store located in the heart of one of New York City's busiest tourist destinations, Rockefeller Center. The scope of work included the installation of custom showcases, a boutique lighting package, flooring, and an interactive gaming area that features a 15x39 wide LED screen. Tasked with completing the project in less than four weeks, the team had no room for error if they were going to deliver the flagship on-time as promised. To meet this deadline the team developed an integrated construction schedule that allowed for numerous trades to work concurrently thereby ensuring an efficient site. As well, the installation of tile flooring throughout required that the team segment the floor area into manageable quadrants. Their "segmented" approach enabled the team to install and protect select areas while ceiling work continued above. Finally, in keeping with Turner's lean culture, the team implemented a "just-in-time" delivery program that ensured excess materials would not encumber trade mobility. Ultimately, the project team turned over Nintendo NY six days ahead of schedule and within budget just as promised.
