Herndon town officials consider a plan to rellocate day laborers from their gathering place on the town's main drag. Officials in the town of herndon are talking about long-range plans to buy two properties on Elden Street to rellocate the town's Community Resources Center and find a site for day laborers to congregate in the morning while they wait for work. Right now they wait across the street at the corner of Alabama and Elden, a 7-11 parking lot where they are accused of loitering and drinking. Some residents have complained and claim the site is bringing down their property values. Town officials say it's time to get serious and find a solution.
