Dead Island 2 is a game built in total service to "the game”. The story, characters, ideas, and motivations are all embellished, but that doesn't matter much. The only thing that counts, and that the game expects you to care about and hopefully enjoy, is ‘see zombie, kill zombie’ while legging it to your next objective marker.
