The TERRA Occasional Chair is yet another example of MANGATA’s efforts to design and produce goods with a focus on environmental sustainability. MANGATA uses sustainably harvested oak that is kiln dried using solar energy, then finished with eco-friendly waxes. When purchasing supplies internationally, MANGATA ensures the products are ethically sound by supporting fair trade companies. The tassels and upholstery on this chair are made from all organic cotton and hemp, obtained from a fair trade supplier in India. To avoid toxic chemical dyes, MANGATA uses only vegetable-based dyes. With our recycled packaging material, even the shipping of our products has a lowered environmental footprint. We strongly encourage our customers to reuse or recycle MANGATA’s packaging after receiving their products. All of MANGATA’s furniture flat packs for less expensive and more sustainable shipping.
